Favorite UVM Memory
The Experimental Program! Hitchhiking to DC to participate in the Moratorium Against the War. The campus wide response to the Vietnam war and Kent State. Rock concerts in the gym. Kundalini yoga in the chapel. Modern dance in the Southwick Bldg. Growing fungi on V8 juice agar in Dr. Sproston's botany lab, as he softly sang about fungi (work-study). Donald Gregg and his intro to chemistry. Loved him and will never forget him!
Highlights
Milestones: Graduated from UVM College of Medicine, became board certified in ob/gyn and joined the University Associates in Burlington. Met and married Steve Hamilton (UVM ’73) and, eventually, became a family of six. Moved to Massachusetts (‘91) and joined a private practice. Made Manchester by the Sea our home and sailing our family passion. Retired in 2014 and have since served on our local board of health, volunteered in the home hospice care program and served as an ongoing support group facilitator for parents of transgender children, all deeply rewarding experiences.
