James Bentil '13 Would Like You to Know about NextGen Council

James Bentil ’13, Alumni Association Board of Directors National NextGen Chair.

The NextGen Council exists to build connections between alumni who graduated in the last 10 years.

1. It’s All About Relationships

“When I was a Grossman School of Business student, I learned over and over that networking and fostering relationships is the key to success in anything. Now I put that lesson into action in my work and in supporting other UVM alumni as a volunteer. I think about building relationships as the most important way I can add value, and I can help other alumni give back to the institution, too.”

2. UVM Remembers You

“The Alumni Association, and the NextGen Council specifically, always has the door open. We can connect you with others, and we can help you to discover your ultimate ‘why.’ If you’re curious about clarifying your goals, drive, and motivation to lead to what’s next in your life, there are thousands of alumni here to help who have benefited from cultivating and maintaining their relationship with UVM in many ways. Hop on UVM Connect and spend five minutes there. You will see.”

3. NextGen’s “Why”

“We want to connect people across regions, time zones, states, and countries. Once you leave the steps of UVM, you automatically belong to this life-long community of alumni. Spend some time thinking about the legacy you are trying to leave in this world. You have so much to offer, and we are here to help you unlock your full potential.”
